"Food is ok. I went in as a tourist and love history but the king crab dish is served cold and no where on the English menu did it mentioned that. In Argentina, they don't give you tap water... everything is bottled or what not so I wasn't surprised of paying for my water. They gave you nice bread and side dishes as most ethnic places do. I tried my best to figure out how to eat it and if one is a dipping sauce or what not. Check out this restaurant once for the decor and the notes from people around the world once and you seriously don't need to come back. It made me feel uncomfortable as a tourist when they mentioned tip knowing I am not a local. They are trying to bank off tourist from America of which tipping is the norm."

"THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. Best food in all of Argentina. Skip the Parillas and tourist trappy expensive places. CHECK OUT BAR IDEAL. It is the best food with wonderful customer service !!! The lamb stew is absolutely popping. The king crab soup is amazing. The marisco stew is also incredible. The Black Hake melts in your mouth. Stupendous. And the sons Santiago and Juan who seem to manage the place (at least over the summer) are incredibly warm and wonderful and are so curious and well-traveled!!"

"We shared a king crab stuffed trout and it was fabulous. Our server, Juan, was fluent in English which we appreciated as we are learning but still struggle with our Spanish. We overheard him speak with another table in German then talking to him found out he also speaks Portuguese as well as Spanish. We appreciated the good service!"
